Progress: Age of Conan has more players playing longer

Age of Conan is faring better financially. Eurogamer recently ravaged Funcom’s financial report and found two interesting truth nuggets.

According to the documentation a “significant increase in new customers in Q1 compared to Q4 has led to a stable and solid subscriber base.” And apparently these new kids (or old, it’s unclear) are rolling around the digital plains longer than normal. Improvement, get!

This information corresponds with what Age of Conan project manager Jorgen Theraldsen told us in February. “As a positive confirmation that we are doing the right things, we have seen a clear trend towards people enjoying the game more and playing longer…”

“Only by making sure our current players have fun and speak positively about the game will see more players come in, and this is what has happened over the last period. So, we are actually seeing positive trends, and this means a continued focus on delivering new content,” Theraldsen added.

So if all keeps going well, look forward to some new stuff. We want bear mounts, because, well, bears rock. Make it happen, Funcom.
