No Matter Studios’ chilly action-survival game about hunting down big boss monsters, Prey for the Gods, has met its $300,000 funding goal on Kickstarter with 10 days left in the campaign.

By popular demand, the team has also done some early test work on getting the game “running and playable” on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in preparation of eventual ports.

“We were surprised and incredibly excited by the results,” said the developer. “Within days, we had them playable and running @30 FPS, un-optimized!” The end result is that Prey for the Gods will come to both systems (after the PC version debuts) without needing to hit an expensive Kickstarter stretch goal. The ports are happening, and backers can kick in $25 or more for either console version.

“Committing to a Kickstarter is no easy task,” wrote the studio. “It’s a roller coaster of emotions and your private messages, comments, and feedback kept us going … Thank you all so much.”
