Dolfie Dream collaboration looking smart

Volks’ Dolfie Dream brand is collaborating with Square Enix to release two premium-quality dolls of androids 2B and 9S, stars of philosophical hack ‘n’ slash title NieR: Automata.

Newly-released images let us check out the prototypes of the two finished dolls, who appear to be beautifully crafted and sporting high quality reproductions of their stylish outfits and weaponry. Although we don’t get to see how the dynamic duo look underneath their blindfolds, promotional materials at the NieR: Automata concert – which takes place today at the Pacifico Yokohama Convention Hall in Japan – will feature further details.

There is currently no word on a price or release date for either doll, but pre-orders are expected to open October 20 over at the official Volks store. I’m definitely going to be picking up one of the 2B models at the very least, she looks great.

NieR: Automata is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
