The 60 thumbs up and over 2,300 thumbs down the announcement trailer for RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile has received on YouTube truly says it all. But let’s continue anyway: this will be a $2.99 download for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. How many more beloved PC brands must we see tarnished on mobile? All of them? It’s starting to feel that way.
“Create and share the coolest amusement park of your dreams and construct incredible roller coasters to keep your visitors excited. Build the best park, unlock new materials, and exchange roller coaster blueprints with friends to become the ultimate RollerCoaster Tycoon!” Right.
Prior to the announcement, Atari was teasing the game on Twitter and immediately people assumed it was going to be a mobile title as opposed to the proper, full-fledged PC game long-time fans have been awaiting. It’s as predictable a situation as it is disappointing.
