Pre-purchase WoW: Warlords of Draenor, get your level boost now

Fifth expansion releasing this fall

It’s now possible to pre-purchase the Warlods of Draenor expansion for World of Warcraft ahead of its release “on or before” December 20, 2014, Blizzard has announced. My expectation is that it’ll be out much before then — the company has been saying fall 2014 for a while now.

Included in Warlords of Draenor‘s cost — $49.99 for the standard edition, $69.99 for the digital deluxe — is a boost to level 90 for a single character, available for use immediately following your purchase. Additional boosts will cost $60 each. The deluxe edition comes with a Dread Raven mount and Dread Hatchling mount, Blackhand and Grommash Hellscream Battle.net portraits for StarCraft II, and a Diablo III Warsong pennant.

Beyond the updated character models and increased level cap of 100, this fifth expansion also features player-customizable garrisons complete with NPC followers, which sounds neat.
