Pre-order the Oculus Rift VR headset this week

Still no price or date

We still do not know how much the impending Oculus Rift virtual reality headset will cost or when it will be released, but we might know soon. Oculus just announced that the Rift will be open for pre-order this week, January 6, at 8AM PST.

I am assuming this means Oculus also has to reveal the date and price. Oculus founder Palmer Luckey is doing a Q&A session on reddit later that day at 6PM PST. The Rift comes with a platformer, Lucky’s Tale, and pre-orders all include one of the best VR games, EVE: Valkyrie. The special Touch controllers, which aren’t required to use the headset, have been delayed into the latter half of 2016.
