If your’e looking to, uh, light up your next karaoke party, you might want to consider pre-ordering Microsoft’s Xbox 360 sing-a-thon title, Lips.

Both Amazon and Gamestop are offering up a pre-order code for one free music download every week for two months after the game’s release (pull out a calculator … that’s eight songs). The songs will be downloaded via the Zune Marketplace, which means you might actually have to bite the bullet and sign up for the service … even if you don’t have a Zune.

The pre-order listings don’t specify what the free tracks will be, but it’s noted that they will be chosen by “the Zune team,” whatever in the hell that means. But it doesn’t really matter what they are; at the end of the day, no one will be happy, and everyone will find something to whine about.

I really want all eight tracks to be off of American Idol hopeful David Archuleta’s debut album.
