Port-a-Fortress instant-base will be popping up soon in Fortnite

‘Why must I fail at every attempt at masonry?’

Do you love Fortnite, but have zero ability when it comes to putting together a quality base of operations? Well, Epic have your back, with the reveal of the new “Port-a-Fortress” device, on its way to the battle royale juggernaut.

Whilst there is no footage of the item in action right now, common logic dictates that the Port-a-Fortress will be a throwable device that opens up into a ready-built battlement for you and your gun-toting buddies. Not dissimilar to those expensive tents that middle-class kids bring to music festivals.

No date has been announced for the Port-a-Fortress, but given that Fortnite’s Season 5 ends this week, its a fair assumption that it will debut with the coming of Season 6. Then we can all catch a glimpse of what it means to have all of the ramparts with none of the work.

Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and iOS and Android devices.
