Poll: Silksong is a few days away and costs $20, will you be getting it?

Hollow Knight: Silksong is only a few days away, and Team Cherry has released a slew of new details, including its eye-widening price, which defies all price rises in the industry this year and then some.

The game is set to launch at just $20, which feels like a steal for a massive game like this, and even if you can’t afford it, it’ll be available day one on Xbox Game Pass on Sept. 4, as well. But that isn’t the only detail Team Cherry has revealed.

The indie studio has also revealed the exact time players will be able to jump in and play, with the game launching at 9am CT, so anyone waking up in the States will be able to download and play on Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and more devices pretty early. At the same time, other European countries will need to wait until after work hours to get started and finally give it a try.

This has led me to ask the obvious. Will you be picking this one up? It is clearly one of the most highly anticipated games coming and an easy Game of the Year contender from the get-go. But I’m curious how many will pick it up amidst all the hype, and after how many years it has been in the pipeline.

It feels like a lot of people will get it due to the low cost. Still, I’m also curious how many people are only here for the memes and the hype over actually playing it, and will instead wait to watch more skilled players upload YouTube videos or write articles like here on good old Destructoid explaining the ending and showcasing different guides.
