Poll: Are you enjoying Donkey Kong Bananza so far?

Loving or hating it?

Donkey Kong Bananza has been out for a few days now, and everyone who owns a Nintendo Switch 2 seems to be getting their hands on it.

Though looking at message boards and social media, I have noticed a mixed bag of opinions. Even when looking at the comments of my recent review of the game (where I gave it a 9/10, citing performance issues and more as my reasons not to give it a perfect score), some people seem indifferent towards it and don’t appear to be having as much fun as they expected.

I’ve also seen a lot of people claim that playing the game is making them feel sick, with a small minority having motion sickness when playing the game. But outside of that, how have you been finding the game so far, reader?

I’ve been enjoying it and recently finished the post-game story, and have stopped playing towards 100% completion so that I have something to play during upcoming flights to Gamescom and Evo in August. As much as I want to continue playing it, I need something to do to pass the several hours of flights and layovers I’ll need to contend with.

And while I have enjoyed a large portion of the game, I must admit that for the first few hours, I wasn’t sold on it. Mainly due to the easy boss fights you come across pretty early on, and how much backtracking you need to do at times with Void Kong. Obviously, the big ending reveal saved the show for a lot of people, but we won’t be talking about that for the sake of not spoiling the game for anyone who is still playing through it.

And on that note, if you are still playing through the game, how are you finding it? Were there any parts you liked but also loathed? I want to hear your thoughts in the comments below and share your opinions, because I’m aware the game truly isn’t for everyone.
