Pokken Tournament is getting a new character in Japan

For arcades

While Pokken Tournament‘s creators have downplayed the idea of DLC in the console edition, they’ve just announced that another character will be joining the game’s roster in the Japanese arcade rendition. The new fighter will be announced on July 14 by way of a NicoNico stream, and it is confirmed to be a full-on playable character, not just a support. It’ll be added in pretty quickly too as it already has a July 20 release date.

I still play from time to time (with the hawt controller), and the Wii U release has been supported as recently as June. Hopefully this series can continue to live on for a long time and see a healthy sequel, possibly on the NX.
