Pokemon Home will launch this February, more details coming soon

Welp, that’s close enough

It was a very brief part of today’s Nintendo Direct, but Pokemon Home, the new transfer app, did get a confirmed release date: February 2020. It’s all very vague, as is customary, as “more information is coming soon,” but Game Freak noted nonetheless that it will be arriving sometime in the next month and a half or so. Details like potential pricing (the 3DS bank is $4.99 a year) were not shared.

Another bit of info was revealed though: if you don’t have the new expansion passes, you can still trade with people that do and get creatures that way. Pokemon Let’s Go support was re-confirmed, as long as the creatures exist in Sword and Shield.

We all knew this was coming, and thankfully it wasn’t delayed into oblivion.
