Pokemon Go’s next event is a Chansey-heavy Valentine’s Day celebration

Double candy, plus Chansey, Clefable, Porygon sightings

Pokemon Go might have fallen off, but there’s still a dedicated fanbase that’s driving its revenue to eclipse most games released these days, mobile or otherwise. I do notice a rise in players during events though, and the next one is for Valentine’s Day, running from February 8 at 11AM PT to February 15 at 11AM PT.

Niantic states that you’ll obtain double the amount of candy when catching, hatching, transfering, and walking your buddy. You’ll also be able to find that Chansey, Clefable, and Porygon have enhanced spawn rates, as well as a higher hatch chance from Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum. Lures will also last six hours instead of 30 minutes for the duration of the event.

There’s always elements in these celebrations that feel like they should be baseline for Go. Maybe not double candy and six hour lures, but making the game feel like less of a grind would be great.
