If you’re just starting out in Pokémon Go, it’s best to begin with the 1 Star Raids, then slowly build up to the Mega Raids. It is also possible to encounter Mega Legendary Raids, which unleash godlike Pokémon. No matter what, you’ll always need a team, especially for the more formidable fights.
Some Raid Pokémon are exclusive to specific regions, including the Ultra Beasts Blacephalon and Stakataka. Thus, the battles for these particular creatures depend on your current location. However, Remote Raid Passes are available for those who want to access these unique types anywhere in the world.
Like most events, Rivals Week showcases Shiny variations during Raids. It’s not always guaranteed, so you may need to do a few battles to increase your chances. However, the creatures Jangmo-o, Blacephalon, and Stakataka do not have a Shiny version.
Thanks to the Pokémon Go channel, we know that a few other events are on the horizon, bringing additional Raids.
