Pokémon Champions is finally coming to mobile devices, and we have to wait for less than 24 hours to enjoy the gameplay. The release follows the earlier launch on Switch consoles earlier this year. While the core gameplay mechanics will be the same, let’s first find out when the mobile launch takes place.
Pokémon Champions mobile release countdown
Pokémon Champions will be released worldwide on Wednesday, June 17. The release date was announced by Nintendo earlier this month, and it’s unlikely to change this late. The following countdown will expire once the launch takes place.
The countdown is based on the following times.
- 9pm PST (June 16)
- 11pm CST (June 16)
- 12am EST
- 4am UTC
- 5am BST
- 6am CEST
The timings are based on when Season 3 goes live. While TPC hasn’t explicitly announced an exact time, Season 3’s launch coincides with that of the game itself. You can always put the game to pre-install on your iOS/Android devices. It will automatically download the files once they become available.
What to expect from Pokémon Champions
If you have been playing on the Switch console, you’ll mostly know what to expect. The core gameplay revolves around building a team of six Pokémon and taking on other players. Battles take place in 1v1 and 2v2 formats. You can have some fun in the casual mode or take on the rest of the world in Ranked.
All game modes offer you different rewards based on your efforts. You can also add new Pokémon to your roster by unlocking them with in-game currency. You can also use the HOME application to transfer your collection. Furthermore, you can also battle against friends in friendlies for bragging rights.
Once live, you’ll be able to grind more rewards during the Season 3 events.
