Just like videogames, religon can bring people together, inspire them to be the best person that they can be, and even help pull them out of depression, addiction, and other harmful frames of mind. Also like videogames, religion can also cause people to feel entitled, inspired, or otherwise compelled to commit acts of discrimination, violence, and other forms of destruction.

Maybe that’s why some faith-based folks feel so competitive with videogames, as to some, they are capable of offering worlds that are even more compelling than what religious texts have to offer. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a holy man try to knock Pokemon down a peg, but… Minecraft? That’s a new one. This gentleman hates a game that provides children with a place to learn patience, resource management, and the feeling of pride that comes from being constructive and imaginative, and it doesn’t even have any magic wands! But don’t tell him that sometimes Minecraft sometime has Pokemon in it. That would probably scare the sh*t out of him.

Can someone build a few churches and/or crucifixes in Minecraft and send them to this guy? But no dead ravens please! Dead ravens are like kryptonite to this person.
