PlayStation Vue is getting a price cut

$10 less

Recommended Videos

I guess Sony is getting a bit more serious about PlayStation Vue, as it has just confirmed a price cut to the service. It will now run you $10 less per month, bringing the base subscription (roughly 60 channels) down to $40 (“Core” is $45 with 75+ channels, and “Elite” is $54.99 with 100+ channels). Another big “get” is the addition of a bunch of Disney family channels, which includes the sub-conglomerate ESPN, as well as ABC, Disney Channel, and Disney XD. Check out the full listing below.

I’ve been using Vue for the past month or so, and it’s actually pretty decent, but it needs more features and channel options to truly catch up to cable and pull the plug for good. Even with the discount pricing, it’s still comparable to cable in some locations. It also needs a true piecemeal plan where you can only buy one or two channels you really want.
