PlayStation Vita sells 321,407 units in its first week

The estimates we gave this morning for the PlayStation Vita sell-through were about right. Enterbrain’s numbers show that 321,407 Vita systems were sold the first launch week. Considering that the system launched on December 17, and the end of the week was December 18, that’s a pretty impressive number.

Famitsu did not give a total shipped number for launch, but I’m sure we’ll hear more on that soon. Original numbers put the first shipment at 500,000, but some reports say that Sony was able to add 200,000 more units to meet launch demand.

This number beats the PSP launch week total of 166,704, but that was just one day’s sales.

I wonder how the Vita will fare here when it launches in February.
