I guess I should be excited this week, but I can’t quite find the steam to get pumped up. It must have been the cookie. The big blockbuster on the PSN store is the release of Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty. At a particularly meager $14.99 players will be able to once again experience the dynamic duo in downloadable form. I’ve been hearing that it’s even shorter than the developer’s four-hour estimate, so be careful if you really want to stretch your money.
As for add-ons, Hot Shots Golf Out of Bounds is taking the cake for me. For $1.99 you can add Kratos to the rotation of silly golfers. Is there a game that Kratos wouldn’t be cool in? Rock Band got some Duran Duran tracks, and Guitar Hero III has gotten three new DragonForce songs. If only I could play these songs on the Easy setting. Also, HAZE got a free multiplayer pack and no one cares.
A game that some people may actually care about, Star Wars Force Unleashed, is out in demo form right now. Jim wrote up some impressions for it today and he seemed pretty enthusiastic about it. There’s also a dump of Leipzig videos and wallpaper for those who have the extra hard drive space.
