I like how Sony had to start the list with Dante’s Inferno for PSP
October brings out my desire to do Halloween-related things. Staying up late to watch horror movies? “Halloween.” Eating random candy weeks beforehand? “Halloween.” Playing scary games? You guessed it. Sony has the same idea with this PlayStation Network sale.
Rather than list everything in this two-week promotion, I thought I’d do some trimming (sorry, R.I.P.D.: The Game). Here’s what we’re looking at for week one, which kicks off today:
- Dante’s Inferno Ultimate Edition (PS3) – $9.99 or $5.99 w/ PS Plus
- Darkstalkers: Resurrection (PS3) – $7.49 or $5.24 w/ PS Plus
- Dead Nation (PS3) – $3.99 or $3.19 w/ PS Plus
- Dead Nation (PS Vita) – $3.99 or $3.19 w/ PS Plus
- Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition (PS4) – $7.49 or $5.99 w/ PS Plus
- Dead Space 2 (PS3) – $6.49 or $3.89 w/ PS Plus
- Demon’s Souls (PS3) – $13.99 or $9.79 w/ PS Plus
- Fatal Frame (PS3) – $6.99 or $4.89 w/ PS Plus
- Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly (PS3) – $6.99 or $4.89 w/ PS Plus
- Fatal Frame III: The Tormented (PS3) – $6.99 or $4.89 w/ PS Plus
- Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (PS4) – $26.49 or $19.87 w/ PS Plus
- Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (PS3) – $19.99 or $14.99 w/ PS Plus
- Tiny Brains (PS3) – $4.99 or $3.99 w/ PS Plus
- Tiny Brains (PS4) – $4.99 or $3.99 w/ PS Plus
The second week of the sale will have Castlevania: Symphony of the Night ($4.99), Catherina ($9.99), Puppeteer ($9.99), Rain ($7.49), and more, with additional savings for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Horror movies and television shows are discounted during both weeks, too.

I asked for a Fatal Frame recommendation and Kyle suggested trying the second game. What do you think? Might be fun to play and write about. Y’know, for Halloween.
