PlayStation Move’s ‘nunchuk’ device gets a name

The attentive folks at Engadget observed that the FCC has added an entry for the secondary controller accessory used with PlayStation Move to their database. On the label seen above, you can see the product name for the accessory, the “Navigation Controller.”

Simple, to the point and makes perfect sense, really. It’s the half with the analog, after all, which is what I plan to use when “navigating” my way through games.

It does make me a bit nostalgic, however. “Dualshock” and “Sixaxis” are great product names and the clinical nature of the Move controllers is a little disappointing. Whatever happened to that creative spark, Sony?
