PlayStation All-Stars developer still alive and kicking

SuperBot Entertainment confirms studio has been shrunk, but is not gone

Last we heard, SuperBot Entertainment had amicably split with Sony after developing PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, but the future of the studio was left uncertain. Well, until today that is, as Edge is reporting that SuperBot is alive and well, working on their next IP.

Unfortunately, the studio has “substantially shrunk down” however after the split with Sony. director of operations David Yang responded directly to the allegations, stating for the record, “we have substantially shrunk down our operations but are still going strong while we work on a new IP.”

This is good news for sure. I really enjoyed PlayStation All-Stars and was genuinely excited for a sequel, with refined mechanics and more familiar Sony faces. While Sony Santa Monica is left to deliver on that possibility, I’ll have my eyes on SuperBot’s new IP for sure.
