Netherlands-based publisher of games, Playlogic, has filed for the Dutch equivalent of Chapter 11 bankrutpcy. They’re most recently known for publishing Fairytale Fights, but have released almost a dozen games in their 8-year history including ObsCure: The Aftermath and Infernal.

Playlogic is blaming their financial woes on the standard issues of the day. Current economic conditions combined with some late payments (including €1.7 million from their distribution partner Koch Media with whom they are currently in litigation) has forced them to give up the ghost.

I played Infernal and, let me tell you, my heart is not exactly broken by this news. It’s never a good thing when a publisher goes under but there are plenty of small companies putting out much better games than what Playlogic had to offer.
