After an assortment of rumours, datamines, and speculation, Sony has announced that battle royale pioneer PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is making its way to the PS4, apparently arriving as early as next month.

PUBG, as tha kidz call it, sees a posse of players dropped onto a deserted island where they scavenge for what weaponry they can, before fighting it out in a bid to be the last man or woman standing. Having found success on the PC and Xbox One platforms, the infamous PUBG chaos is coming to the Sony platform with all major features intact and three maps: Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok. HDR lighting is featured on PS4 Pro consoles.

Pre-orders are available and come in three formats. The “Looter’s” (standard) edition gets you the base game for $30. The “Survivor’s Edition” gets you the game, 2,300 G-Coin, 20,000 BP, and the “Survivor Pass: Vikendi” – for access to the next batch of content – for $50. Finally, the “Champion’s Edition” gets you the same as above, except the G-Coin amount is boosted to 6,000. This edition costs $60.

As a console exclusive bonus, PS4 pre-order customers will also receive a skin and backpack based on Naughty Dog’s titles Uncharted and The Last of Us. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds launches on PS4 December 7 and is available now on PC and Xbox One.
