Platinum Games offers an early look at Bayonetta 2

‘It will be worth the wait’

Although Platinum Games’ new trailer for Bayonetta 2 doesn’t show any gameplay, instead focusing on some enemy designs, concept art, and Bayonetta’s legs, it’s worth watching for fans of the original. Throughout the video, various quotes about what to expect from the Wii U-exclusive sequel are displayed.

Two of them in particular jumped out at me, the first being: “We really established what Bayonetta is all about in the first game. Now we are thinking about interesting new ideas to expand upon the essence of Bayonetta.” And better yet: “The scale of the game is completely different this time, so it feels like you are fighting the last boss from the very beginning.”

Nothing too revealing, of course, but it’s nice to know where Platinum’s mind is at with this follow-up. “It will be worth the wait,” says the studio.
