Following an achievement leak this weekend, PopCap games has decided announce the first details on the Xbox Live version of Plants vs. Zombies.

Scheduled for release in early September, the title will feature two new multiplayer modes, 12 achievements, and 21 mini-games unique to the XBLA version. The game will also feature a new way to track and share progress online, with players creating their own custom homes which can be visited by friends. PopCap also says this will be the prettiest version of the game to date, with the highest resolution of any platform at 1920 x 1080.

Cost? $15, or 1200 MS Points. A “Game of the Year” edition of the PC/Mac original will ship to retail for $19.99, that additional five bucks getting you a zombie figurine. Sold.
