Planet Zoo 2 is coming soon to gamers worldwide, so we can build our own wondrous zoo again. Developed by Frontier, it’s a sequel to the first game, but you can enjoy it on its own since it’s standalone.

Planet Zoo 2 release countdown
Planet Zoo 2 goes live on Tuesday, Oct. 13. The release date was announced by Frontier, and I don’t expect changes this late. The following countdown will expire once the game goes live.
The countdown is based on the following times.

- 10am EDT
- 2pm UTC
- 3pm BST
- 4pm CEST
If anything changes, I will update our timer.
What to expect from Planet Zoo 2
Planet Zoo 2 continues in the footsteps of the first game, but the sequel is about to get wilder. The core gameplay is similar to what we experienced in the previous game, but this time we have more species, more customization options, and a bigger park to build.
Every species has its own requirements and behaviors. Whether you are building a new enclosure for your primates or a tank for your turtles, you’ll find unique challenges to solve. Creating a habitat is just the beginning, since you will also have to ensure your creatures are happy and thriving.
As a park keeper, you also need to manage the zoo’s daily upkeep. This includes making crucial commercial decisions to ensure that your park is profitable.
In Planet Zoo 2, you’ll also get to enjoy a dedicated Career mode where you join the global Fauna and Ecosystems Network. We’ll have workshop support, as usual, that allows us to get mods to further customize the gameplay.
