Planet Minigolf gets patched for Move control

Zen Studios sends along word that Planet Minigolf will be getting PlayStation Move support via a patch. You should start seeing this patch when the Move drops in your respective territory: September 15th in Europe and Sepetember 19th in the U.S.

“ZEN Studios believe in supporting our products for the long term, and this update represents our commitment to Planet Minigolf” said Zsolt Kigyossy, Managing Director of ZEN Studios. “The Planet Minigolf experience gets an excellent upgrade with the addition of the PlayStation Move motion controller and now the player can swing and hit the ball just as if they were on the course.”

Here’s some of the changes you can expect with this patch:

  • Move controls extend beyond gameplay to editor, menus
  • Use Move controller like a putter on a real course
  • Multiplayer supports 4 Move controllers at once

They also note that at $9.99, Planet Minigolf may be the cheapest way to test out PlayStation Move next month. There’s a new trailer showing Move gameplay on the game’s official webpage now.
