Pittsburgh Wii odds @ 7PM: Maybe 20% [Update 1]

Recommended Videos

I Just ran up a car load of people to the Wal-mart, Target, Best Buy, and Circuit City scene outside of downtown Pittsburgh at the Robinson Mall area, knowing I had all of Pittsburgh gamers as my enemies, and at 3 p.m. our group was 42, 43, and 44 in the waiting lines at Wal-mart. The other stores were just as dismal, and using WiiSeeker, Wal-mart most likely only has a total of 53 Wiis in our area. So by the time of me typing this, the chances of finding a successful spot in a Wii line in the Pittsburgh area are pretty close to 1%.

Good luck to all gamers today and throughout the weekend — if there are any other Pittsburgh gamers out there, feel free to report in your own findings from around town. The Wal-mart is thankfully giving out the Wiis at midnight, so I’m off to get some Jägermeister and set up tonight’s party.

Update: Just got a call from my friends saying the Wal-mart only has 39 Wiis, so no luck 🙁 They jumped over to the Target line which is only 10 people now, and an employee informed them they have around 40 Wiis as well, but the catch is that they open at around 7 a.m., so the wait will be much longer. Ugh. There goes the party, but at least we’re pretty much guaranteed a Wii and now know the WiiSeeker site isn’t that reliable. Wal-mart is a no go, and I believe Best Buy is done for also, but Target seems to have some solid spots open – enjoy!
