Pirate-y ‘Barnacle Bay’ content for Sims 3 announced

[Update: Since it was unclear, the article has been slightly altered to reflect the fact that Barnacle Bay is not a full expansion like The Sims 3 Late Night.]

Just yesterday when we posted about TheSims4.com (and TheSims7.com…), a few of you wondered how it was possible Electronic Arts could be thinking about a sequel. I mean, there’s been less than 10 expansion packs for The Sims 3, right?

Don’t worry, they’re working on it. Today, The Sims 3 Barnacle Bay downloadable content was announced. It’s what it sounds like, a pirate-themed life on the high seas content pack for The Sims 3. It’ll include new spots like the Pirate’s Hideaway, Hogan’s Deep Sea Diner, and more to explore with your Sims. Barnacle Bay will also feature over 24 new items that you’ll only find in the expansion. So like, you have to get this.

Barnacle Bay is a download, and can only be purchased through The Sims 3 Store using SimsPoints this fall.
