In his 2008 best-seller, Outliers: The Story of Success, journalist Malcolm Gladwell posited a theory that he called the “10,000-Hour Rule.” Achieving success in any field, he asserted, depends largely upon amassing 10,000 hours of practice in that field — whether you’re The Beatles or Bill Gates.

EA Tiburon is making major gameplay changes in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 with full Kinect support and new swing controls, and they’re also introducing a new mode. The Tiger Legacy Challenge gives you an inside look at all the time Woods has spent mastering his golf game (surely more than 10,000 hours by now). Starting at the age of 2 in his backyard and going up to the present day, the mode features Tiger at seven different ages in ten different periods of his career.

I must say, I found the trailer pretty affecting; hopefully, the mode works as a coming-of-age story that shows us the moments that made Tiger great. Check it out in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13, which launches for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 27 in North America and on March 30 worldwide.
