Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has become the first person on YouTube to get over 10 billion views on their channel. He announced the milestone on his Twitter.

PewDiePie is the most-subscribed channel on YouTube, having amassed over 39 million subscribers in the five years he’s been on YouTube.  Whether you like his videos or not, it’s hard not to have a bit of respect for someone who’s managed to do so well making videos. They take a lot more effort than some people think.

To put just how much “10 billion” is into perspective for you, the current global population is only just over 7 billion. We’re not projected to hit 10 billion people until roughly 2080. 10 billion is a lot of views.

However, he still doesn’t hold the record for most viewed single video, which is held by Psy’s 2012 song Gangnam Style. Time to get them both together in a bare-knuckle cage match to see who can break YouTube analytics the most.
