Atlus’ Persona 3 is getting an animated film, Persona 3 The Movie #1: Spring of Rebirth. The fabulous Persona 4 has gotten loads of love in recent years, from an animated series to an exemplary Vita remake in Persona 4: The Golden to fighting game Persona 4 Arena. As we all eagerly await the eventual Persona 5, Atlus is making sure to give Persona 3 some attention with this new film, which will be releasing in Japan on November 23, 2013.

I’m pretty dang stoked for this. That art and animation are so good — guess it’s got a movie budget rather than an animated series budget. Gave me chills of nostalgia and general goodnes at times. Getting back into Persona 4 Arena of late has me appreciating the return of some of Persona 3‘s cast, particularly Mitsuru, whom I miss dearly since my time with Persona 3: FES.

Unfortunately, I’ve been picking up Chie in her stead in Persona 4 Arena and I’m nowhere near competent enough to try and learn two characters at the same time. Persona!
