Perfect Dark XBLA set to have online multiplayer

Perfect Dark for the XBLA was finally confirmed last week during the madness that was E3. It’s probably one of the best news to come out of E3 for me. Yes, I know that Perfect Dark doesn’t really stand the test of time when it comes to FPS games, but it was one of my all time favorite games on the Nintendo 64 and I will gladly pick this game up again.

4J Studios is behind the revival of this classic shooter, which is going to be in full HD, 1080p and will be running at 60 frames per second. Everything that was in the original game will be here (no Expansion Pak required!) and there’s going to be new Xbox LIVE features such as online multiplayer.

Below are some screenshots for Perfect Dark XBLA and it’s hard to say if going HD, 1080p on a Nintendo 64 game is a good thing. It’s like comparing a picture of dog sh*t taken with a cell phone camera to a picture of dog sh*t taken with a Canon 10MP camera. One looks better, but they’re still both pictures of dog sh*t.

By the way, don’t forget the free Perfect Dark dashboard theme before it’s gone for good!
