Penumbra: Black Plague trailer brings on the creeps

Recommended Videos

You may remember the first title in the Penumbra series, Overture, from the Destructoid review earlier this year. While there were some flaws, the overall consensus was that Overture was definitely worth checking out, especially for fans of the horror genre. Black Plague is the final chapter in the series ( it seems as if there should have been one in-between from the wording, but it looks like there are just the two.)

Overture was a free download way back when, but now both it and Black Plague come at a cost of $19.99; however, per the developers diary from the website,  the new title has undergone some major improvements since the first game’s release, most of them solely based on player feedback. It’s nice to know that some developers do take that feedback into consideration.

For me, it’s much simpler than all this gobbedly-gook — This game looks scary, and all I really want is to have a game I can turn out the lights and get jittery playing. Black Plague releases for PCin the Q1 2008, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

[Thanks Justin!]
