Peggle out for Android, free from Amazon today only

One by one, PopCap’s franchises are making their sojourn on to the Android platform. Today, the obscenely addictive Peggle has been released exclusively through Amazon’s Android app store. And just as Plants vs. Zombies before it, you can nab the game for free if you hop over and download it today. If you wait, the game will cost you a mere $2.99 but, hey, why pay if you don’t have to?

I’m loving that I keep getting free stuff from PopCap, but I would gladly pay for some HD versions of these games. Plants vs. Zombies is a lot of fun on my tablet but it does not scale well. I think it’s a safe bet to assume that those are coming but I want them yesterday.
