Pearl and Marina to perform ‘Live’ at Japanese Splatoon tournament

Wrap the day up, no news is topping this

Splatoon 2’s hosts, Pearl and Marina, have announced that they are to play a live concert in Japan, as their avant-garde collective; Off the Hook. The duo will take to the stage to perform all their latest (s)hits and I need to start saving up for a flight to Japan. Pronto.

Queen of the World Pearl, and her tag-along friend, will perform a live set at NicoNico Tokaigi to close out the Splatoon competition. You can expect all their Rap-Dance classics, from the crowd-pleasing “Ebb and Flow” to the more emotionally-evocative “Muck Warfare”.

This gig follows in the footsteps of Squid-Sisters, Callie and Marie, who also performed several concerts when they were Splatoon’s hosts. This was achieved through the power of projected imagery. Of course, Pearl and Marina are actual, real people, so I’m assuming no such technology will be necessary.

Off the Hook will be appearing at Makuhari Messe on February 17, 2018. It promises to be the greatest musical happening since that episode of Saved By The Bell where Zack and Slater formed a band.
