Pay your respects to the father of videogames

Ralph Baer still inventing at 90 years old

PBS’s “Inventors” series profiles the work of inventors and the latest episode focused on Ralph Baer, the father of videogames. Ralph briefly talks about how the Odyssey, the first gaming console ever, was created and talks about some of his other successful inventions.

And then things get extremely depressing. Yet as sad as I felt, I immediately felt huge respect for Ralph. He turned 90 years old in 2012, the same year the Odyssey turned 40, and is still inventing with no plans of ever slowing down. Inspiring stuff.
