Everyone’s favorite arcade/Dreamcast boat racing game Hydro Thunder is getting the sequel it so desperately deserves: Hydro Thunder Hurricane, an Xbox LIVE Arcade exclusive from Vector Unit. They used the phrase “dynamic water physics” in the press release, so you know everything is on the level.
Launching this summer, Hydro Thunder Hurricane has seemingly everything a fan could ask for: 4-person split screen, 8-player online, 8 “theme park” levels, a slew of new modes, returning boats — like Razorback, Cutthroat, and Rad Hazard — and the patented insanity we’ve grown to love over the years.
If you’re at PAX East, you can see the game in action at booth #811. I literally couldn’t be more jealous. Even still, this announcement has made my week.
