Hollywood, I’ve been patiently waiting for another Mortal Kombat movie for 13 years. Seeing a live-action Baraka on the silver screen brought a tear to my eye. What’s the hold up? Paul W.S. Anderson, who directed the original Mortal Kombat film back in 1995, is down. It’s just that no one has knocked on his door about it yet.

“No one’s talked to me about it,” he told G4. “But if they did, it would be something I would definitely be interested in. It was the movie that launched m in Hollywood, so obviously I have a huge affection for it.”

He also says he “loved making the movie,” and used to the play the game all of the time before he had even worked on the project. “That’s a property that I have a huge amount of affection for,” he says of the franchise, “and I think it’s a property that could again be relaunched and make an amazing movie.”

I’m already camping out for tickets, Paul. Make it happen.
