It’s a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake
The Ludum Dare 29 game challenge is in full swing, and one of the best (or worst, depending on how you look at it) games so far looks to be Baking Simulator 2014, a hilarious and awkward game that asks a few simple tasks of you that you ruin several times over, a la Surgeon Simulator 2013.
Adding a little bit of flour to a recipe looks much more like a blizzard than an adult following directions, and your pancake hands do little more than smack at items awkwardly. And yet, I want my flattened, horrible hands to persevere so we can make delicious treats together.
YouTube streamer It’s Cowfoot demonstrates the ludicrous game above via Kotaku, but you can go and play the game yourself here. Trust me on this — the internet tells me I’m a woman, and cooking is all I can actually do, so when I tell you to go play a game about baking, you should probably do it.
“Put bowl in’t oven,” though? I’m not at all sure about that grammar. How about “put the cake in the oven for a while/leave it there, come on, clean the pile?” Walk the walk!
