Palworld is finally launching into 1.0 tomorrow after over two years in early access, and the game miraculously won’t have its MSRP jumping too high to reflect it, either.
In a refreshing change of pace, Pocketpair revealed this morning that tomorrow’s official launch for the surprise monster-catching hit will remain at the same exact price it released with in January 2024.

“After much thought, we have decided not to raise the price of Palworld following the 1.0 release and will keep it at $29.99,” Pocketpair said in a statement on social media. “We are incredibly proud of how far Palworld has come. Thanks to the amazing support of our players, it has become a success beyond our wildest dreams. As a small way of saying thank you, we’ll be keeping the price at $29.99. Thank you for your continued support.”
This is uncharacteristically generous in 2026, regardless of how big or small a studio has been. But Pocketpair is able to keep the game at this price due to how much of a genuine success it has been in just a couple of years.
Pocketpair also announced today that the game crossed a pretty tremendous milestone of 40 million players across all platforms, and that is a win no matter what studio or publisher you work at these days.
And that achievement comes even before the 1.0 update, which is massive in scale. The full launch is set to add over 20 new Pals to the game, along with a slew of other improvements like an expansion of the story, new tools, a rework for Tower Bosses and Sanctuaries, and a lot more. It’s so big, in fact, that Pocketpair is recommending players start a totally new save since there’s so much that’s changing.
Palworld really took over the gaming lexicon back in January 2024, as it seemed like everyone was playing it or talking about it. While it started out to many as the game known as “Pokémon with guns,” it quickly became a lot more than that, and to see it maintaining its very fair price point through all of the success is heartening.
