It doesn’t take an analyst to tell you that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is going to make some major money this holiday season, but it does take one to hone in on how much it’s going to make in a set time frame. Michael Pachter of Wedbush Securities says that Activision’s next big game will top even its record-breaking predecessor.

Pachter told Industry Gamers that he feels MW3 would set a new entertainment record, making $1.1 billion in six weeks. Black Ops got close last year, hitting about $1 billion in six weeks. Pachter is already calling it as this year’s best-selling game.

He also predicts good things for Call of Duty: Elite, Activision’s social service: “We expect the Call of Duty: Elite premium membership plan to be very popular with CoD’s hard core gamers. Elite is being bundled at a $10 discount with the underlying game, which may accelerate as many as 3 – 4 million subscriptions into 2011.”

Let’s do this: Who is NOT getting COD:MW3?
