Exploring dreams like only video games can
We like weird games, and Overlook Trail, a “surrealistic dream exploration” adventure, fits the bill.
I can’t remember the last time I strolled through someone’s giant throat, over their squishy tongue, past their teeth, and dove out their mouth into a bowl of cereal. There’s truly a first time for everything.
“Conceptually it is much like a collection of short stories or films, each with its unique style and game mechanic,” according to Malmö-based developer Longhand Electric. Prior videos illustrate that point.
I’m a little late to finding out about Overlook Trail – it resurfaced on Monday as part of the Summer Game Fest showcase stream – but I’m happy to highlight it. There are too many games to follow.
This one’s coming to PC and consoles on a not-yet-pinned-down date.
