Overkill! 13 straight hours of chiptunes on geekbeatradio

Well… damn!

Brandon Hood, organizer of that massive Chiptunes = WIN album from a while back, is teaming up with online music station geekbeatradio for an insane 17.5-hour-long broadcast. The main event of the broadcast, if you couldn’t guess from the above headline, is 13 straight hours — 12 hours 58 minutes 26 seconds, if you want to get specific — of chiptunes! Over 250 artists will be showcased in alphabetical order, with one track from each artist.

Think that’ll be enough?

The show begins tonight at 10:30 PM EST on UNregular Radio, kicking off with a live performance by Square Enix cover band The World is Square. The chiptunes will begin at 11 PM, followed by more live performances on Tuesday should any listener still be alive by that point.
