Ouya will ship at the end of March for backers

Kickstarters get theirs early

If you were there for the Ouya creators during their time of need, and backed their Kickstarter, you’ll get your unit on March 28. If you didn’t, the full launch will take place in June, when it’ll be available in stores as well as online.

The plan now is to evolve the console through firmware updates, and provide completely new consoles every year, like it was a mobile phone. At least one exclusive game is planned (it took them long enough), as Airtight Games is planning a new title. Famed thatgamecompany developer Kellee Santiago has also joined the Ouya team.

Besides that, you have 481 games and counting that are mostly available elsewhere, in addition to the newly announced game from Minority Media (Papo & Yo).

Yep. We all have our idea of how this is going to go, but pretty soon, we’ll actually be able to find out.
