OUYA teams up with XBMC, TuneIn ahead of Kickstarter end

Recommended Videos

In less than two days, the OUYA console will be funded on Kickstarter. It’s managed to raise an astounding $7 million so far, but that’s hardly the news to focus on here. The OUYA team has posted a few announcements in a new update. The big one: it’ll support XBMC. Yes, that XBMC.

There’s also a partnership with a free service called TuneIn that provides access to local and global music, news, and sports stations. I’d wager that’s far from a major selling point for most of you, but these things do add up eventually.

Lastly, a couple of renders were posted in the update. They do a much better job of showing what the OUYA console and controller will look like in terms of scale, assuming that person’s hand isn’t freakishly large or something. The tiny box is admittedly rather adorable.
