Original Yoshi’s Island creator assisting with ‘New’ game

Satoru Iwata has announced that Takashi Tezuka, the Director of the original Yoshi’s Island for the SNES, will be working on Yoshi’s New Island — the upcoming 3DS game. Iwata stated that he has been overseeing the general development of the title, which bodes well for fans of the SNES classic (myself included).

Yoshi’s New Island will launch in Spring 2014. That’s soon!
