When John Carmack isn’t building rocket ships or modifying cars into planes, he’s making some decent games with id Software and Fountainhead Entertainment. Once home to cell phones, Carmack’s Orcs & Elves is now coming to the Nintendo DS … and it’s gone gold!

The DS game features a new 3D engine, full 3D sound, new monsters, and new levels. Pre-order the game at certain retailers, and you’ll get yourself a limited edition wand stylus, which you can use to cast spells. But only in the game while using the Nintendo DS touch screen; chill out, Potter.

Orcs & Elves will be available in stores on November 16.
