One of the best co-op shooters is coming to Xbox, so prepare to hell dive

The wait is over

Since its global launch, Helldivers 2 has done really well in terms of player count on PlayStation and PC. Unfortunately, Xbox players have been missing out until now, but the wait to hell dive is about to end.

Helldivers 2 arrives on Xbox with an incredible amount of in-game content

I have been a Helldivers 2 player since its release in 2024. While the game was always fun and exciting to play, Arrowhead has continued to add content and features to make it even more exciting. A recent example is the Galactic Emergency update that added a new enemy type called the Illuminate. It also added a much-requested feature: The ability to customize weapons.

This is just one of several patches we have seen in the game go live since its launch. When you download and start playing on your Xbox console on August 26, you’ll have all the content at your fingertips.

Some might feel that Helldivers 2 has lost its charm, but I beg to differ. Yes, not all updates have been amazing in terms of their quality. There have been some controversies as well, but all things considered, Helldivers 2 is still one of the most fun co-op experiences around.

You can either form a team with your buddies or just jump in with random strangers from all over the world. The battles are intense, communication is key, and every successful drop feels worth the effort. There are plenty of compilations on the internet about the chaos you can expect on the battlefield. It’s one of those games where your allies could be a bigger threat to you than the enemy (since there’s friendly fire!).

With the Xbox launch set for August 26, the game will have full-fledged crossplay support across all available platforms. Pre-orders are already available for the console version, and I highly recommend checking out the game.
